Junior Division Kickboxing

Ages 8 – 12

Woo Kickboxing Academy has it’s Junior Division Kickboxing Classes for children ages 8-12. Our Junior Division Kickboxing Program is a martial arts class that is based upon Muay Thai Kickboxing, Western Boxing basics, and exercise drills. Your child will have fun and stay healthy as they do exciting kickboxing and boxing drills designed specifically for kids.

The children learn to use different types of punching bags and do exciting drills on various types of equipment. They are always treated as individuals and classes take on a semi private atmosphere. In our class, they will learn kickboxing techniques with different strikes and kicks. The equipment they will use will be focus mitts, kicking shields, and heavy bags. They will be taught age-appropriate strength training exercises, and they will improve agility with drills and obstacle courses. Children are also introduced to ab work, plyometric and balance exercises as well as Self Defense Techniques.

Kickboxing allows children to increase strength and flexibility and improve coordination. Not only do children learn important self-defense techniques, but they can also better excel at other sports and school work due to their increased focus and body awareness.

This is a great way for a child to learn real self defense that works in and out the gym and help them channel their endless energy. Many children go on to compete and many enjoy staying in shape and learn life long disciplines to stay healthy and to protect themselves.

We have a strict no bullying policy and children are repeatedly taught not to engage in fighting at school and not to brag about their abilities. Our classes will help students reach high levels of physical ability. However, we believe that the most important elements that children will develop from our kickboxing classes are the importance of hard work, discipline, and respect for themselves and others.

Monday & Wednesday: 5:00pm-5:50pm
Saturday: 10:00am-10:50am
